Rachael
hi, I’m Rachael—founder of rachael b pilates and the movement for life studio.
my journey into health and wellbeing began early, shaped by a deep curiosity about how the body works. after graduating with a degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology, I developed a strong interest in natural therapies and holistic approaches to healing. a personal experience with low back pain in my 30s led me to Pilates, and it quickly became a lifelong passion.
for over 20 years, I’ve seen how Pilates can transform lives. whether you’re returning to movement after a break, recovering from injury or surgery, or looking to enhance your athletic performance, Pilates offers benefits for every body.
i’ve worked with clients of all ages and abilities, and I’m passionate about helping each person feel stronger, more balanced, and more connected to their body. my goal is to make movement accessible, enjoyable, and empowering—supporting you in living a healthier, more fulfilled life.

Cathi
inspired by movement and driven by a passion for helping others rediscover their natural poise, Cathi supports people in moving freely—without pain—to cultivate energy, vitality, and a healthier way of living.
Cathi has been a certified Body Control Pilates instructor since 2009 and holds a level 4 qualification in Back Pain management. she's also certified in clinically-based Pilates Reformer through APPI.
in addition, Cathi is a qualified Alexander Technique teacher (MSTAT), and this deeply influences her approach to Pilates, bringing a mindful awareness to movement and posture.
having experienced the pressures of running businesses, she understand the demands of corporate life—and she also appreciates the everyday challenges we all face. her personal journey includes recovering from several major accidents and multiple fractures, giving her firsthand insight into the process of healing and restoring balance in the body.
to stay active, she enjoys swimming, walking, and running.
she looks forward to welcoming you to class and supporting your journey toward better movement and wellbeing.

Sophie
Sophie is a Graduate Sports Therapist, registered with the Society of Sports Therapists, and an APPI-certified Reformer Pilates Instructor, with an MSc in Strength and Conditioning. she combines her clinical expertise with a strong understanding of movement, rehabilitation, and performance to support clients of all abilities.
with experience working in both clinical settings and professional sport, Sophie has treated a wide range of clients, from those recovering from injury or managing chronic pain, to individuals looking to improve strength, mobility, and overall movement quality. her approach focuses on personalised, evidence-based care, ensuring each session is tailored to the individual’s needs, goals, and movement patterns.
Sophie’s background in strength and conditioning, alongside her experience with elite athletes and team environments, allows her to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and performance. whether in 1:1 sessions or group classes, she uses Reformer Pilates to help clients build strength, improve mobility, and reduce the risk of injury.
